My name is Kira Eng. I am a lot of things like mother, writer, veteran, student, and many other things. I have been writing since I was 12 years old when I wanted to find a way to express myself. I wrote a very short story called “The Beautiful Heart” and I was hooked ever since. I love the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre the most but I also like romance and mystery as well. My goal is to finally get in gear and work on becoming a professional writer as well as blogger. I served 10 years in the US Army and I feel my work ethic and sense of duty comes from my service. I also think my ability to somehow plan and manage complex projects comes from my service as well because I was never naturally organized. I developed PTSD when I was 19 from something that happened in active service. I am now a disabled veteran so while I am happy for my service, there are some things I would love to have changed in my life. I am the mother of 3 boys and 1 girl. Their ages are 24,18,7, and the girl at 5 years old. I love being a mother and would not trade it for anything. Being a mother to both adult and smaller children gives me two perspectives on being a mother to different age groups. My baby girl is a lot like me when I was younger. I am often reminded why mother did the curse “may you have a child just like you” to me when I was a child myself. Yes mother I understand now. I understand it all!
